Indian Security Forces razed the Headquarters of the Chin National Front - Camp Victoria yesterday. The Mizoram Armed Police, engaged in the operation seized guns, though no casualty have been reported from both sides.

An anonymous man from Tuipang told our reporter that the MAP marched towards CV by 3:00 P.M. (IST) from Mawhro village and evaded CV, the armed forces reportedly seized three weapons left by the Chin National Army (CNA), while fleeing from the camp. The MAP returned to Tuipang by 11:00 P.M.

"An MAP who took part in the operation said that we have destroyed all the quarters and bunkers of the CNA." said the man. He continues, "The Security Forces, Commanded by Director General of Police, Mr. Lalngheta Sailo, had returned to Lunglei, the second capital of Mizoram, by 9:00 A.M."

The where about of the CNA is not known as this news is being prepared. Meanwhile, the man told our reporter that the CNA had left their camp knowing that the MAP are coming to crack on them, if not there might had been a fierce gun fighting.

No body has been reportedly detained by the MAP in connection to the crack down operation against the CNA. Meanwhile, the situation of the CNA could not be known, as no officials could be contact.

The MAP approached Mawhro with six trucks full of security combatants around 9:00 A.M. to attack CV. Reserved MAP personnel's, ready for deployment, were posted in Tuipang and Zawngling village.

In enactment of the MoU between India and Burma, the Central Government pressured Mizoram state government to evacuate the CNA. Accordingly Mizoram state government fixed a death line to the CNA to evacuate CV and attacked the camp as the death line expired on 20th June.

This evacuation of the CNA from their camp is the third time. The first evacuation was in 1999, secondly in 2002, which were both operated by the Assam Regiment.

The CNF was formed in the year 1988 to fight against the military government of Burma and restore democracy and self-determination.
